Office of Financial Aid
2009-2010 Forms
2009-2010 Forms in addition to the FAFSA: for Fall 2009, Spring 2010, and Summer 2010 and any terms or sessions within those time frames.
If you are unsure what forms to choose, try "How to Apply" from - Application Steps from the Financial Aid main web page.
You may download the Free Adobe Reader to view and print these forms. You may complete these forms at your PC so that you can control the size of the form for better viewing. We suggest you fax forms only in emergencies as the quality often results in an unreadable document. All too often the wrong (blank) side of the form is faxed to us.
The Department of Education will not make the renewal application process available for the 2009-2010 cycle until January 1, 2009.
All renewal-eligible applicants will use the Web to reapply for aid because paper Renewal FAFSAs will no longer be printed and mailed. All renewal-eligible applicants can access Renewal FAFSA on the Web using their PIN to complete, sign, and submit a 2009-2010 Renewal FAFSA on or after January 1, 2009.
Each aid applicant who meets the eligibility requirements for a 2009-2010 Renewal FAFSA by January 12, 2009, will be sent a Renewal Reminder e-mail or a Renewal Reminder letter between January 17, 2009 and February 16, 2009. With the elimination of the paper Renewal FAFSA, it is particularly important that renewal-eligible students receive a Renewal Reminder, which informs them that they can use the Web to reapply for aid. The Department encourages students to update their address and e-mail address on their 0809 SAR to ensure the most current e-mail and mailing address information is present.
We plan begin downloading 2009-2010 FAFSA information in late February, request missing items by sending Missing Information Letters (MIL)s, and begin awarding for the 2009-2010 year the first week of March.
If a Federal Financial Aid recipient withdraws before completing 60% of the semester/term, federal regulations require Troy University to return a prorated amount to the Department of Education. The student will be required to pay all or part of any Financial Aid awarded to them.
