Office of Financial Aid
Current Students

The Department of Education will not make the renewal application process available for the 2007-2008 cycle until January 1, 2007.

All renewal-eligible applicants will use the Web to reapply for aid because paper Renewal FAFSAs will no longer be printed and mailed. All renewal-eligible applicants can access Renewal FAFSA on the Web using their PIN to complete, sign, and submit a 2007-2008 Renewal FAFSA on or after January 1, 2007.

Each aid applicant who meets the eligibility requirements for a 2007-2008 Renewal FAFSA by January 12, 2007, will be sent a Renewal Reminder e-mail or a Renewal Reminder letter in between January 17, 2007 and February 16, 2007. With the elimination of the paper Renewal FAFSA, it is particularly important that renewal-eligible students receive a Renewal Reminder, which informs them that they can use the Web to reapply for aid. The Department encourages students to update their address and e-mail address on their 0607 SAR to ensure the most current e-mail and mailing address information is present.

For help and questions about FAFSA on the Web, please call 1-800-4-FED-AID.

For help adding Troy University to your FAFSA, please call 1-800-4-FED-AID.

Students and families may request single copies of the paper FAFSA on the Web Worksheet and paper FAFSA by calling 1-800-4-FED-AID.

For help with Troy University financial aid questions, try our Call Center at 1-800-414-5756 from 8AM to 5PM CST, Monday through Friday.

How can I receive a GRE fee waiver?

2006-2007
The only individuals who can be granted a fee waiver for 2006-2007 (for tests from July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007) are seniors receiving financial aid and returning unenrolled college graduates who have applied for financial aid and have an Institutional Student Information Report (ISIR - our version of the Student Aid Report - SAR) on file with Troy University.
If you no longer have your paper SAR, you may call 1-800-4-FED-AID and request a copy or request one on line using your PIN.

An applicant may obtain a certificate only after it is confirmed that the applicant meets the eligibility requirements listed above and must have the supporting documentation (ISIR) showing a family contribution of no more than $1,200 if dependent for the senior year or a contribution of no more than $1,600 if self-supporting for the senior year. The GRE Program requires that a copy of the applicant's ISIR be sent with the GRE fee waiver certificate. If the student meets these conditions they should send their completed fee waiver certificate with a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Troy Financial Aid Office.
