TROY Phenix City Campus to offer ethics workshop for mental health professionals

PHENIX CITY—Troy University’s Phenix City Campus will offer a daylong clinical workshop on ethics and boundary issues for mental health professionals on Saturday, Sept. 12.

Entitled “Ethics, Morals, Values and Boundary Issues: The Importance of These Concepts for the Mental Health Professional,” the workshop will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. inside the Higginbotham Building, room 123.

The workshop will demonstrate the characteristics of healthy and unhealthy boundaries and how they apply to the counseling relationship. Topics covered will include codependence, sources of power, trust, boundary violations and maintaining healthy boundaries.

Participants in the workshop will earn six ethics contact hours. The registration fee is $99.
