TROY — Troy University officials have named Dr. Mary Anne Templeton as the new Associate Dean of the Graduate School.
Dr. Templeton has been with TROY almost 8 years and is an associate professor in the College of Education. She holds the PhD. In Counselor Education, M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling and the B.A. in Psychology from the University of Alabama.
“The Graduate School is pleased to welcome Dr. Templeton to her new role of Associate Dean," said Dr. Dianne Barron, Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate School. “She is a certified rehabilitation counselor, was a Chancellor's Fellow in 2013, has served as interim Coordinator for Counseling for Global Campus and is very familiar with the preparation and review processes related to specialized accreditation and grant writing. Dr. Templeton will be a wonderful asset to the Graduate School, particularly as Troy University prepares for our Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges' 5th Assessment and as TROY develops its doctoral role."
Dr. Templeton's current research interest, how leadership style impacts burnout among employee, includes comparison of burnout rates among counseling specialties and teaching self-advocacy.
