Alabama Power Vice President to address TROY graduates in Montgomery

MONTGOMERY - Leslie Sanders, the Southern Division Vice President for Alabama Power Company, will deliver the keynote address to Troy University graduates during the Spring Commencement ceremony for the Montgomery Campus on Monday, May 19.

The ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. inside the Davis Theatre for the Performing Arts. About 145 students will receive degrees this spring at the Montgomery Campus.

Sanders is responsible for Alabama Power's operations in parts of 19 counties in south central Alabama, including Montgomery. The Southern Division employs more than 660 people and serves about 220,000 customers. A 26-year veteran of Alabama Power, Sanders previously served as Vice President of Governmental Relations.

Sanders also serves as the chairman of the Montgomery Area chamber of Commerce, and on the boards of the Alabama Department of Human Resources, Children's First Foundation and the Montgomery Area Committee of 100, among other organizations.

A graduate of the University of Alabama, Sanders and her husband, David, live in Montgomery and have two children.
