Historical Note:  Office of the Executive Vice President of Troy State University Dothan was created in academic year 1989--1990.  Although the duties of the office changed over time, it functioned as both the chief academic office and the chief business office, maintaining contact between the faculty, colleges, and offices of TSUD and the campus President who also had duties to the TSU System. 

Only two administrators have filled the office, Dr. Jack Sublette (AY 1989-1990--1997) and Dr. Barbara Alford (1997--2002). 

The office went unfilled when Dr. Alford became President of TSUD and was abolished with the merger of campuses in August 2005. 

Scope/Content:  The collection documents the administrative history of Troy State University Dothan.  The collection contains forms and correspondence of procedures, meeting minutes and correspondences between SACS and ACHE for accreditation as well as 2000 reaccreditation files.  Included in the collection is TSUD strategic plans, semester conversion information from 1999, TSUD Distance Learning Information, historical information, a copy of the first faculty's policies and several Institutional Effectiveness documents prepared by Dr. Bai and his predecessor Dr. Stonesifer.  It also contains physical plant information and videos.
