Dear Bro Jossy
Brother James left here this morning for Ala. he requested me to write to you to day. He says his business in Ala. will confine him at least two weeks. And as soon as he gets at leasure he will go to your house. He says if you have given you obligations for the land not to be uneasy that he will make it good of course but but if you are not bound so that you cant get off no to go any further with it until he comes. Harrison has been here to buy it. He offers three hundred dollars in cash and says [smudge/possible mistake] he will then give as much as any body=else. You must come to see us soon I would be very glad to see you all. You need not be afraid to come to Baker for I think it is as healthy here as it is any where in the world. If I lived in [Dooby] I should always come to baker for health in the summer. Nothing more but remaining your affectionate brother.
