Historical Sketch:

The Chimes was a band from southeastern Alabama. The band included Doug Morris (bass), Doug’s brother David Morris (drums), Frank Tanton (keyboards and guitar) and a variety of guitarists, including Bruce Wallace, John Bedsole, David Adkins, and Lamar Alley. Bass player Doug Morris was eventually replaced by Kenneth Griffin. The band played at several local venues, including Little Wheels Enlisted Men’s Club at Ft Rucker and regional teen Dance halls. Scope / Content: Single recording, Side A and B, of songs from The Chimes.  Side A is "#38" written by Douglas Huber runtime 2:28, and side B is "Foolish Pride" written by D. Morris and G. Brown, runtime 3:02.  Produced by Douglas Huber for Matrix.  Code S-777.

Provenance:  Purchased from Tom Funk of Lake Ariel, PA, via eBay.
