Biographical Sketch: Allen H. Larson (Jan 7, 1919 - Oct 31, 1998, buried in Elmlawn Cemetery, Tonowanda, NY) grew up in Buffalo, NY, and entered the US Army Air Corps during World War 2. He trained in advanced single fighter combat at Napier Field north of Dothan, Alabama and was a member of the 430th Single Engine Fighter Training Squadron. He worked at Niagara Mohawk Power Corporation in New York State.
Lula Belle Dupree (Dec 28, 1922-March 2, 2007, buried in Elmlawn Cemetery, Tonowanda, NY) was a secretary at the USAAF base in Napier Field. She grew up on an Ashford, AL, farm.
They had one son, Allen Leo Larson (born Buffalo, NY, March 10, 1946, d. Winter Park, FL Sept 13, 2022. m. Linda Anger Larson)
Scope / Content: Two Napier Field souvenir books (one blue, one red possibly published later); two issues of the Napier Field camp newspaper The Booster; one photograph each of Lula Larson and Allen Larson; two military ID cards plus 1 ration card
Provenance: Linda Larson (daughter in law) was going through her deceased husband's papers and found these items. She mailed them to the Wiregrass Archives.
