Dr. Vinnakota and Dr. Shahriar jointly instructed a course that provided scouts with a foundational understanding of electricity and magnetism. The students were educated on how to respond to electrical emergencies, the importance of safety measures when handling electrical equipment, and how to conduct home electrical safety assessments. Additionally, they were guided in hands-on activities such as creating their own electromagnet and constructing a basic electric bell.

Dr. Vinnakota and Dr. Shahriar collaborated in teaching a course that introduced scouts to the basics of robotics. The students gained insight into the potential risks associated with working with robots, the diverse applications of robots in different industries, and safety measures for handling robotic equipment. Furthermore, the students received instruction on constructing, integrating sensors, and programming a robot designed for obstacle detection.
