First meeting – Review a sample of investment methods to help understand investment risk. This is followed with the pros and cons of dividends, then a review of a worksheet to calculate your annual dividend goal adjusted for inflation and taxes. You will be given a worksheet to calculate your personal annual dividend goal.
Second meeting – Gain an understanding of the relationship between target dividend income and investment capital. We will review a proprietary dividend stock selection model and apply the model to assess one of the dividend aristocrat stocks, AT&T. Participants will be given a worksheet to evaluate a stock of their choosing for discussion in the final session.
Third meeting – We will review relevant stock indexes and competitors for a comparative assessment of dividend stock. This is followed with guidance to avoid investing pitfalls, and practical insights and red flags about the workings of dividend stock purchase.
