How do I receive my I-20/DS-2019?
The I-20/DS-2019 is a legal government document that is created when you are accepted to TROY. You need this document to create your visa appointment and enter the United States. To be able to receive your I-20/DS-2019, you need to set up your TrojanPass. Your immigration document (I-20/DS-2019) will ONLY be emailed to your troy.edu email address. You will have access to this email after you set up your TrojanPass.TrojanPass
Once accepted for admission, your TROY email will activate within 24 hours. TrojanPass
accounts will provide access to Office 365, TROY Email, Canvas, and many other IT
services. All official university communications will be sent via TROY email.

- If you do not already know your TrojanPass username, go to my.troy.edu and select “What’s my TrojanPass username?”
- * Enter your Student ID number in the top blank box, your last name in the second blank box, and your birthdate in the third blank box.

Authenticator App

It’s important not to use text messages for log-in authentication. Instead, download and use the Authenticator app. The reason is that your phone number in the U.S. will be different from the one in your home country. Once you change your phone number upon arriving in the U.S., you won’t be able to authenticate your log-in through text messages. However, with the Authenticator app, your phone number doesn’t matter!

Due to security screening procedures, international students and scholars should expect delays when attempting to get a new U.S. visa. DS-2019s are given to non-immigrant, non-degree seeking (J-1) students studying in
America and is controlled by the Department of State through the Exchange Visitor
Program.
