Dr. Marlene Dixon received a bachelor's degree from Trinity University, a master's degree in sport administration from The University of Texas at Austin, and a Ph.D. in Sport Management from The Ohio State University.
Dr. Dixon is a research fellow in the North American Society for Sport Management, serves on several sport management journal review boards, and currently serves as the case study editor for Sport Management Education Journal. In 2014, Dr. Dixon was elected president of the North American Society for Sport Management, a three-year commitment including a year as president-elect, a year as president and a year as past president.
A member of the TROY faculty since 2013, Dr. Dixon previously served as an associate professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Education at the University of Texas and as a lecturer at Rice University. She specializes in sport finance, human resource management, and work-family interactions, and teaches a variety of courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
