Alumni: Where Are They Now?
TROY Theatre & Dance Alumni and Graduates are working all over the globe, pursuing
a wide variety of careers, professions, and opportunities.
Theron Taylor Montgomery (Theatre, 2021)
Taylor recently relocated to New York City, where he is currently featured in the
Off-Broadway production of Frankenstein the Musical at the Players Theater. Read
the release in Broadway World. Prior to his NYC move, Taylor taught and directed high school theatre in Tuscaloosa,
AL.
Cam Williams (Theatre Education, 2020)
Currently, Cam works with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival as Artistic Assistant on the producing team. Prior to arriving at ASF, he taught
high school theatre and worked with Live and in Color on a workshop production of
a new musical titled With Bells On (CT), and its NYC premiere at The Green Room 42. Cam is passionate about the performing
arts and creating avenues for access for younger people who wish to pursue this art
medium.
Mary-Catherine Chambliss (Theatre Education, 2014)
Mary-Catherine currently serves as the Education Director at iTheatrics, a New York City based musical theatre program. Previously, she served Manhattan
Youth as Education Director, Associate Teaching Artist at Lexington Children’s Theatre
(Lexington, KY) and performed with the Springer Opera House (Columbus, GA). Mary-Catherine
is grateful for the opportunity to help make the world a better place, one musical
at a time!
Lacey Alexander (Theatre, 2018)
After studying Theatre and Broadcast Journalism at TROY, Lacey received her Masters
in Journalism from the University of Alabama. She is now living in and serving the
people of Jackson, Mississippi as a public radio reporter for Mississippi Public Broadcasting. Every day, Lacey talks to community members and state leaders about issues that
affect people across the entirety of Mississippi. The voice and performance training
that Lacey received at TROY helps her deliver the news and interview her subjects
with precision.
Casey Lavres (Dance, 2014)
After graduating from TROY with a BA in Spanish and a double minor in Dance and Speech
Communication, Casey moved to NYC. Her credits include: the Off-Broadway show iLuminate (’14-’15) and National Tour (’16), WHITE WAVE Young Soon Kim Dance Company( ’15-present), two tours performing and teaching in
South Korea, China, Vancouver International Dance Festival, Detroit Dance Festival,
Dumbo Dance Festival, SoloDuo Festival, Young Choreographers Festival, and many more.
Casey is also a 200hr Yoga Alliance Certified Yoga Teacher and teaches full time in
NYC.
Kiser Olds (Dance, 2020)
Kiser currently serves as a Principal Dancer and Development Coordinator for Alabama Dance Works, a nonprofit organization based in Dothan, AL. She finds that she loves working behind
the scenes as well as onstage. Some of Kiser's recent credits include Blanche in Bonnie and Clyde at Spanish Trail Playhouse, Co-Choreographer and Ensemble in Newsies at Troy University, and Lead Singer in Splash Dance at OWA Parks and Resort. While Kiser anticipates performing long-term, she is also
pursuing a career in physical therapy and hopes to work with dancers for the rest
of her life.
